West Virginia Travel To Park Events

When planning your West Virginia travel, it is a good idea to check out the latest happenings at the state and local parks on a community calender or park websites. There's always some exciting event scheduled to take place at four different major parks within the tri-city region.

Examples of upcoming events include Saturday evening StarWatch sessions at Bays Mountain Park, which are presented by the Bays Mountain Astronomy Club. These offer an opportunity for solar viewing at a domed observatory. A fun musical event at the Natural Tunnel State Park in Duffield is the Candlelight Series featuring Sigean (Irish traditional music). The Wilderness Road State Park in Ewing features daily activities including docu-drama and interpretative programs. And just across the border in Elizabethton, TN you can visit the Sycamore Shoals State Historic Area, where they offer traditional arts workshops, storytelling, concerts, tours, exhibitions, workshops and more.
